NASHVILLE — The No. 10 Texas A&M Aggies are set to take on the No. 7 Vanderbilt Commodores on the second day of the Southeastern Conference Tournament at Bridgestone Arena.

The game can be heard on 94.1 FM ESPN Texarkana with Dave South calling the action and Al Pulliam with the color commentary.

Texas A&M (16-14; 8-10 SEC) returns to the site where they nearly won the conference tournament a year ago after an overtime contest with Kentucky, who prevailed.

The Commodores (17-14; 10-8 SEC) enter the showdown with Texas A&M in contention for a spot in the NCAA Tournament, hoping for a good showing in the tournament. Vanderbilt swept Texas A&M earlier in the season.

The Aggies are 25-39 in conference tournaments, having played in the Southwest Conference (1915-96), Big 12 (1997-2012), and SEC tournaments (2013-present). The Aggies are 3-4 in conference tournament games in the SEC. Only twice have they won a postseason tournament: 1980 and 1987 under Shelby Metcalf. The Aggies have gone to the championship game six times: 1976, 1980, 1986, 1987, 1994 and 2016.

Texas A&M head coach is 14-12 in conference tournament play, including championships in the Southland Conference with SE Louisiana in 2005 and the Ohio Valley Conference with Murray State in 2010. He is 3-7 against Vanderbilt all-time.
