GAME 1 – TAMUT vs JCC
RHP, Jacob Cobb-Adams (SR/Kailua, HI) toed the rubber in the 2nd game of the series against Jarvis Christian College on Senior Day. Cobb-Adams entered the game with 5-0 record and looked to remain perfect on the mound for the Eagles.
Eagles took the first lead of the game in the bottom of the 1st inning by plating 4 runs. Cole Beckham (SO/Texarkana, TX) led off with a double down the left field line. Michael Moore (SR/Colfax, CA) reached base on a fielding error and advanced Beckham to third. Cameron Frost (SR/Olympia, WA) followed up with a 2 RBI triple to give the Eagles a 2-0 lead. Cade Thomason (JR/Oak Grove, LA) singled to right and drove in an RBI. Zachary Boehler (JR/Yuma, AZ) would lay down a sacrifice bunt to move Thomason up to second. Chase Beebe (SO/Glenwood, AR) hit an RBI single to score the final run of the inning.
TAMUT would repeat in the bottom of the 2nd with a big 5 run inning to jump out to a 9-0 lead. Kolton Perfect (JR/Warren, TX) led off with a walk and was followed up by a Cole Beckham single to right. Beckham advanced to second on a stolen base. Michael Moore delivered a 2 RBI single to right. Cameron Frost and Cade Thomason singled back-to-back to load the bases. Zachary Boehler grabbed an RBI on a sacrifice fly to right field. The Eagles would steal a run on a first and third play in the following at bat. George Gugino (JR/Midwest City, OK) would double to deep left center and would advance to third on a wild pitch. Chase Beebe picked up another RBI on a single through the left side of the infield.
Jarvis Christian would get on the board in the top of the 3rd by a solo homerun. TAMUT responded in the bottom half of the inning with 2 runs to extend their lead to 11-1. Michael Moore reached first on a throwing error but was forced out on Cameron Frost fielder’s choice. Cade Thomason blasted a 2 run dinger to right center for his 6th homerun of the season.
In the top of the 4th, JCC would plate another lone run that came from a leadoff walk. Two passed balls allowed the runner to reach third base and would then score on a ground out. Once again, TAMUT responded with a run to put the score at 12-2. Kolton Perfect singled to left to start the inning. Cole Beckham hit an RBI double to right center.
Jarvis would finally catch up to Cobb-Adams in the 5th inning as they scored 2 runs that came from 3 hits and a walk. Eagles would get a run back in the bottom of the 5th to put the score at 13-4. Ethan Davis (JR/Midlothian, TX) led off the inning with a walk for the Eagles. Davis would be forced out on Chase Beebe’s fielder’s choice. Cade Davis (SR/Lubbock, TX) hit an RBI double to left center.
In the top of the 6th, Jon Michael Cunningham (SR/Texarkana, TX) would enter in relief for A&M-Texarkana. He would make quick work of the Bulldogs in order, recording a strikeout.
Neiko Martinez (SR/Cortez, CO) would toss the final frame for the Eagles. Martinez would allow 1 hit, 1 walk, and would strike out 2 batters in the 7th inning. Eagles would go on to win 13-4 against Jarvis Christian in game 1 of the doubleheader.
Cobb-Adams remains perfect on the year, improving his record to 6-0 on the season.

GAME 2 – TAMUT vs JCC
RHP, Neiko Yribe (SR/San Diego, CA) received the start in the final game of the series against Jarvis Christian.
The Bulldogs struck first in the contest with one run in the top of the 1st inning. A double and a single allowed Jarvis to take the 1-0 lead on the Eagles.
In the top of the 3rd, JCC would plate another run that came from a solo homerun. TAMUT would have a big inning in the bottom half as they plated 4 runs and would take the 4-2 lead on Jarvis Christian. Cole Beckham reached base on a walk and would advance to second on a stolen base. Cameron Frost launched a 2 run blast to dead center for his 7th homerun of the season. Cade Thomason singled to right center that was followed by Zachary Boehler’s infield single. George Gugino doubled down the right field line to grab 2 RBI’s.
Jarvis Christian would regain the lead in the top of the 4th inning with 4 runs. Yribe would call it a day after giving up 3 hits, 1 walk, and allowing 4 runs in the inning. Chandler Minze (JR/Longview, TX) would relieve Yribe and would finish off the inning for the Eagles.
The Bulldogs would plate 2 runs in the top of the 5th inning to take a 8-4 lead on TAMUT. Minze would give up 2 hits, 1 walk, and would allow 2 runs in the 5th inning.
Mike Herrera (FR/Bishop, TX) would enter in the top of the 6th for the Eagles but would be have a rough outing. He would walk the leadoff batter, Eagles defense would make a fielding error, and he would surrender an RBI triple before being relieved by Taylor McMackin (FR/Hawaii Kai, HI). He would walk 2 batters, allow 1 hit, and give up a run in the inning as the Bulldogs would lead 12-4.
Eagles would call on Jon Michael Cunningham to toss the 7th frame. Cunningham would allow 2 hits but would toss a scoreless inning for TAMUT.
Alec Rios (SR/Chula Vista, CA) would toss the 8th inning for TAMUT. Jarvis Christian would hit a 3 run homerun to take a 15-4 lead on the Eagles. In the bottom of the 8th, TAMUT would plate 1 run. Darren Alexander (SR/Lubbock, TX) singled to start the inning and would be followed by Alex Kugler (FR/Texarkana, TX)’s single to center. Wyatt Miller (JR/Valley Falls, KS) also singled to right field to load the bases for the Eagles. Austin Cutchall (FR/Genoa, AR) hit a sacrifice fly RBI to left field to plate TAMUT’s lone run. Eagles would lose the final game of the series 15-5 to Jarvis Christian College.

Texas A&M-Texarkana will be back in action on Monday, April 17th as they travel to Magnolia, Arkansas to take on NCAA Division II opponent, Southern Arkanas University. SAU is currently ranked #4 in the nation in Division II baseball. Game time is set for a 6:00PM start.
