Interim Superintendent named at Pleasant Grove Independent School District in Texarkana.

Pleasant Grove ISD welcomes Mr. Roger Hailey as Interim Superintendent. Mr. Hailey served as Pleasant Grove High School Principal in the late 1980s for four years. With 19 years of superintendent experience in East Texas, he retired in 2014. He spent seven years in Atlanta ISD, eight years in Crane ISD, and four years in the Henderson, Texas school district. After retirement, he served as interim superintendent for Linden-Kildare and New Boston. He also served as Liberty-Eylau Superintendent for one year.

His daughter, Kristi, teaches Pre-K at the Pleasant Grove Elementary School, and his grandchildren Jackson and Georgia Cobb are juniors at Pleasant Grove High School. Mr. Hailey will be greeting students and staff on the campuses this week, and he looks forward to serving the district in this capacity as the Board of Trustees searches for a new superintendent.
